Truck camper battery location change question

Going from a single 12v to 2 6v, need to change location. Pic of existing compartment below, the negative is grounded to a tab on the metal frame of compartment. Is this a special ground location, where else can I ground the battery? Can I ground at the panel(see pic)?
Also upgrading converter.
