True Eezi-Awn/Hannibal 1.2 measurements

What is the true width of the 1.2 meter tents? Converting 1.2 meters is 47.244 inches.

Can someone take a measurement of the tent folded up with the cover on it? I would like to know if it is bigger than supposedly stated.

I am asking to try and figure out what roof rack basket to buy.

Was going to ask this in Moody's roof rack thread, but I'll ask it here. How do you plan to deploy the tent if its sitting between rails? Chop one side of the rails off??

ARB makes a rack for use with RTT's

I was going to knock just the back out. The ARB touring rack does not have much side railing. I want to use the side railing to mount a Hi-lift, shovel, axe, or pull-pal. Then most importanly, mount the Hannibal 7' awning.

Ah, that makes some sense. I'm not sure how the Hannibal awning mounts, but there is no reason you couldn't fab up a mount to use the Hanibal awning on even the ARB touring Racks. I know the ARB awnings will work easy enough on the Touring setup, different awnings may have different requirements. Just seems like alot of coin to spend and then have to worry about fixing the paint after the cutting and potentially welding. One of the major features of the ARB racks is the finish powdercoating they receive, short of sandblasting the entire rack and re-coating, your comprimising that aspect of them, might be a non-issue in the dry locales. Another issue is the actual corner support, if you look closely at the rack design, there isn't a support for the upper rail anywhere near the rear corners, thus the welding concern.

Cruiseroutfit,

My plan was to cut off the back portion starting at the last upright on the side going around to the other side. Those from the attached picture I would have the railing across the front and along the side for the length of three uprights. No welding needed. Just a little touch up to cover exposed metal. Just a little black or graphite colored paint even though it would not match exactly and some tubing caps of the open end of the railing.

I was thinking of doing this to one of these two ARB racks.

3800010M ROOFRACK 87X49in

3800100M ROOFRACK 87X53in

If I can shoe horn and 1.2 tent in between the rails of the 49" model that would be my choice.

Cool, that would do the trick
