I purchased this with the plan to build a camper. It is rather ideal with the light weight, water/dust tight, low overall height profile. It is a fully enclosed unit that can easily be lifted out of the rig. It is not noticable on the Tundra. Fuel mileage went down only 1mpg mixed driving (16mpg without / 15mpg with it). On the road it is still 17mpg with the shell. I decided to build a 4x4 Van into a camper. This is extremely versitile unit. Secure locking door (with interior handle).
Commercial grade construction. Automotive type door seals (dust/water tight). Locking door with key. Interior latch. Easily cut in additional windows. Extremely simple to modify. The entire unit lifts out (completely enclosed). Perfect for multi-purpose truck use.
