Tundra 285/70R17 on Low Offset/3.5" BS but No Lift?

Has anyone tried fitting 285/70R17 to a first gen (mine is a DC) with just different wheels or aggressive backspacing/low-offset fitment?

I'm fine with doing some (or even a lot of) trimming, but would like to be able run the 33's for a few months without doing a lift.

I've read that you can't fit 285/70R17 on a stock truck, that's kinda obvious, but nobody talks about whether you can fit those same tires on aggressive wheels and with some trimming.

I don't want to tub quite yet if I don't have to, but trimming plastic doesn't bother me. The Tacoma guys can fit 285/70R17 with stock suspension, some trimming, and spacers and/or aggressive offset wheels.

I have 285/75/16 KM2's (basically the same size) with 3.75" bs on coilovers now but had run sacked 5100's which were riding at basically stock height. After hammering the pinch weld it still rubs a little in reverse while turning but not bad at all. I can't attest for the front as I have an Addicted off-road front bumper. Rear fits. Mine is also an access cab if that makes a difference
