Tundra brake controller mount?

Has anyone mounted a brake controller in the dash? If so, in what spot, and what brand controller. Any pics? I don't want to mount it under the dash in any way. And don't wanto use velco unless there is no other way. Why doesn't the factory put these in????

What generation tundra?

I have a second gen (07+), I mounted a Tekonsha P3 in the pocket between the 2 12v power ports in the center console. Its right ahead of the shifter, and I can get to the manual lever very quickly if needed. I think the factory wire harness was long enough to reach from the pre-wired spot if I remember right.

mine is a 13. Thanks for the link. A lot of good info. I was hopeing to make it look OEM but I can live with some of the mounts in that link

mounted mine in the little cubby about the center console in my old '11 Tundra... was a Prodigy unit. Fit well.
