I emailed 'em a question many weeks ago, and got a response yesterday saying that they are currently in Switzerland, and would try to get me an answer when they get back on the 11th.

Not to knock the guy, but I just recently heard another lame-o story involving Turtle Expeditions. I don't know the guy, so it's not my place to judge.

I do enjoy seeing how far their 'Turtles' have come from the first to the latest.

I sent Gary an email asking about a possible new camper. He sent a note back stating that he would be at SEMA with at least one vehicle.

Gary and Monika are wonderful people, and I have always found them to be open and generous. I have shared more than a few meals and conversations with them.

Despite what some may say, their accomplishments as explorers and champions of expedition travel for North Americans is beyond reproach. I have never worked with them on the business side of things, so I cannot speak to that.

Without question, their early travels and vehicle builds are what inspired me to dig into this whole "expedition thing" further. Well, them and the Camel Trophy / Tom Collins.

i agree that there are some people that really are users, i have delt with a few of them. nothing big but for a college kid like me its hard make a name for youself furthermore its hard to find people who are even willing to deal with novices who have dreams and aspirations but just cant afford it. i even fly stickers of stuff that i have bought in the past and dont currently have on my truck. their parts are good i just changed it up a bit. i may come to you in a couple years looking for free bling, and trust me, if you give me anything ill put whatever sticker you want on my truck.
