Type of air line for on board air

I’ve got a 98 Ram 2500 diesel in setting up as a overlanding rig and I’m running a belt driven air compressor from extreme outback products but wasn’t sure if you guys would recommend running rubber line or air brake hard line like on my M920 8x8 or a mixture of both like rubber to the air dryer/filter and hardline back etc any advice would be appreciated

It’s gonna be run air compressor to dryer to tank with lines going for air took hookups, air lockers, exhaust brake actuator, and air bags

For the section immediately after the compressor, you definitely want either hard line or some kind of high-temp (braided) leader hose. The adiabatic heating from compression is serious business and it will absolutely be too hot for rubber line right there. The choice of hard-line vs. braided leader hose comes down to a mechanical question - hard line can't vibrate w/o cracking, so it comes down to how/where the line will be secured relative to the compressor and anything else that might be moving.

After that, regular high-temp rubber hose is probably sufficient. I'm running 300psi/165°F rated rubber line cut up from a 100' length of commercial air hose.

Ok awesome thanks for the info I’ll have to go with high heat braided rubber line then because it’s bolted directly to the block and I’m running it down to the frame rail and securing it there so it’ll defiantly crack

I use Parker 801 and 821 hose with their 82 series fittings.
250 to 350 working pressure and 1000 to 1400 burst pressure depending on size.
