I was browsing through the McMaster catalog today and I found an inline UV filter, rated at 2 GPm for $113.40. Seemed really interesting to me.
A cheap carbon filter in front to remove large particles would be necessary. Bacteria can hide on small particles and resist the UV light. It would be like a steripen, but better.
I wonder how much power it would draw. Downside is power usage, but the upside is no chlorination.
Thoughts?
