Unimog 1450 L Camper
Vehicle Description

We sell our Unimog 1450 L:
Motor: OM 366 AL with Turbo and intercooler. 136 PS (100 KW). 6 Liter Diesel. The motor has been overhauled completely in 2006 (including inyection pump and turbo-charger). Since then the unimog has about 18.000 km.
The complete mileage according the speedometer is about 170.000 km.
The topspeed is 100 km/h
Consumption is about 19 l/100 km normally. The highest consumption ever I had with 24 l/100 km.
Gearbox:
It´s a UG 3/65 with 8 toward-gears and 4 reverse-gears. The gearbox is an original exchange-gearbox from Mercedes.
Year: 1997
Camping-body: The body is made in 2004 by “Plastico Reforzado Oeste”, an argentine specialist for camping-bodys. The size of the wall is 7 cm. It´s composed of: fiberglass, 4mm wood, polyurethan foam, 4 mm wood, fiberglass.
You can lift the roof, so you have a bed there of 200 cm x 120 cm.
The cabin is 285 cm long, 230 cm wide, ca 170 cm high.
The kitchen has a two-flame-gas-stove and a sink. As well the cabin has an additional Webasto-heater that works with diesel.
You can put down the table so you have another bed with 145 x 200 cm.
Drivers cabin: It´s a double cabin that offers comfortly room for 5 adults. A two way radio set we built in last year. The unimog became painted in 2004. The border of the windscreen has a bit rust. Otherwise there´s no noteworthy rust. After every tour through the salt-deserts we clean it carefully. As well we made a cavity-protection of the cabin. The seats got a new covering of black leatherette in 2004. Down the backseat we have a water-tank with 74 litres.
Tyres: The unimog has Michelin XZL with stud-profile. The spare-tyre (new) with the rim fits at the back of the unimog.
Electricity: There´s an additional alternator with an additional battery for an idependent 12 V-circuit.
Resume: The unimog is in a very good shape. The equipment is very basic but endures hard gravel-roads and offroad-trips without damage. The furniture in the back-cabin are made of plywood and look pretty used.
Location: The unimog is located in Santiago de Chile.
Contact: My name is Armin Brüggemann. I´m german and I was travelling with the unimog in Southamerica. The owner of the unimog is the chilenian company "Travelmog Tourismo y Aventura". I am the owner of the chilenian company.
Licence: The unimog has chilenian plates. I was exporting it from germany to chile and licenced it there. In germany I am a unimog-dealer. So we have good contacts to mercedes-benz. I can help you obtaining papers or certificates, if you need them.
Paying: To give you the truck I need the complete money on my german bank-account.
Shipping: For 4.500 $US we ship it to Los Angeles.

Mog forsale?

Hi,
Is your Unimog still available?
If so, could you please tell me more about it, including it's history prior to your ownership.
Was it a self drive vehicle or professionally driven?
Other than the mentioned rust around the windscreen, how is the frame, suspension, transmission etc...
Look forwards to hearing from you.
Keeneye.

The info on the Unimog was not posted by the owner, I think. The owner might not see your query on this list. Maybe contact him using the information contained in the sale listing above, Ebay 220331772667 ?

good luck.

Is it just me or is that price quite reasonable (do understand it's a rental unit)? Had thought 30k to 50k Euros would be a nice starting price for such used off road RV, had we gone with that choice recently.

Personally I quite like the fact the only interior picture show's a messy, in-use look. Far better then normal RV glamour shot with color matched upholstery and curtains, with fine crystal stem wear on the table. Could swear, likely wrong, that tall skinny bottle in the background is a South American Ouzo brand........
