Unimog Camper

Very tall. Bad in the forests and bad off-camber. Fourty years of traveling the western U.S. I can think of no need or use of a rig like this. Had an overcab camper once. Had many incounters in the PNW forests where it was to tall. These expo rigs just don't make sense to me. Mall cruisers here in the U.S. of A.

I don't think it's really any taller than any other box on a mog. Looks about the same height as what Stephen Stewart drove all over the world:

I think that overhead bunk just makes it look more ungainly.

EDIT: Here's the truck from the ad in the OP:

Everybody's needs are different. You just described a situation that I haven't seen in thirteen years. I figure if you are that off-camber and that tight, you stop and camp, get out and walk or off-load your motorcycle. Still very useful in the sand, the desert, snow and mud. Also has a very livable area in the back. Don't see a lot of that at the mall.

I would die to have that rig. Awesome.

Yea, it's a nice truck. I think I would have gone with a side door, and I think camper jacks would be more convenient than a forklift, but those are just minor niggles.

Reminds me of this:
