US Offroad Winch Bumper

Thanks for the links. Seems like the advantages are lighter weight and stock appearance as compared to an ARB or similar. Give up a bit of protection for animal strikes. I'm also comparing it to a front hitch and hitch mounted winch setup which you could leave at home when not needed- the advantage there being that you can mount the winch either front or back depending on the situation. Our climate is not conducive to leaving a winch on year round with the amount of chemicals used on the roads during the winter. Anyone have additional thoughts?

I don't want to break any rules here so I'll simply say this then you will need to contact me directly via our website.

It gives you bash protection up front with a .250" winch tub and then .125" fascia that combines for .375" for the math impaired. The lower portion of the fascia is fully gusseted with .250" and believe me, it will take a heck of a shot. I've planted mine several times and not a ding to be found.

Our new FJ version is 52lbs:

Winch mount bumper: 52.50 lbs
Viper Elite winch with no rope: 51.40 lbs
85' x 3/8" AmSteel rope: 3.6 lbs
Aluminum hawse: 1.5 lbs
Coating and fasteners: 1 lb
Total weight: 110 lbs

We have sold hundreds of the FJ versions around the world, from the North Pole to Moscow, Beirut, Japan.. you name it. Tacomas are new with the 2012+ in pre production planning now.

Another good source of info is our G+ page.

Any plans to open up the market to other/older models? I'd buy this now for my 1st Gen Tundra.

I really like the option of a low-profile/ hidden winch. Both the Tacoma and FJ winch bumpers look great and are reasonably priced IMHO. Nicely done!

Cheers

I have the old Lucrum mount but I have to say I love the low profile look and weight savings of this system. Ill buy a grill guard to help with the critters
