Do you guys really use the windoors/sliding windows that much? When I had my shell, I can't remember a single instance where I used them---they remained shut all the time. If I had a dog, maybe that's the only time I'd probably open them. And even at that time, I'd prefer sliding windows anyway, because you can't have the windoors open while on the move, right? Unless you really hate your windoors?

I used my sliding windows all the time when I camped in the truck. Even in Winter I'd slide them open a bit to allow air to circulate.

Also if I was driving on paved roads I'd sometimes leave them open to vent the bed area of the truck. Obviously I kept them closed on dirt roads although the back of the truck got pretty dirty anyway.

BTW, I can find shells for an extended cab all day long for $2-300. Maybe even cheaper.

Same here but maybe it's because we're out West and a lot of people use them as recreational vehicles.

Guess I should've mentioned that I have a double cab, therefore, camping inside of it isn't really an option. :D I can see how it would be beneficial for people who sleep inside of it. Still can't see much of an advantage with windoors vs. sliding windows....

Ah, big difference in use between a double cab and a access cab. I do not have as much room to store stuff in the cab, so a lot of stuff goes in the back.
