using new maps in a jeep garmin Gps

In the newer jeeps 14 and 15 not sure how much before that the 430 n radio has a gps system in it. Can you load any of the garmin too maps into it as well?

Unfortunately no. It's a Garmin based GUI, but the maps are from a different company. So it's not an actual "Garmin" GPS, like we would think of.
There was a group of people looking to see if they could come up with a back door approach to this on Wrangler Forums. I don't know how successful they were.
Maybe someone from here has more info and will post up.

I'm running this new Insane JK1001 unit in my 2014 Rubicon and so far so good. Basically think of it as an Galaxy 5 Android phone in your dash, just much bigger. Any app, or download that you can install and use on your phone works on the JK1001, even Angry Birds... :wings:

It has Google Maps and Google Earth built in, but you can also download any map or topo, or navigation app that you might want. It also has its own Insane Nav program built in which although I haven't used it much yet, seems nice.
