UV resistance coating

Something I have not seen mentioned here. It may have been, but on the few build threads I have read, it hasn't been mentioned.
Fabric covered tube n fabric or wood n fabric airplanes NEED a UV blocking layer of paint/primer to extend the life of the fabric to an acceptable level. For decades a thin layer of aluminized paint/primer has been sprayed on as a UV barrier under the topcoat color. I have heard this casually referred to as a "silver coat". This reflects the UV back away from the substrate fabric (or fiberglass and foam).
I'm under the impression that this "silver" layer reflects heat (infrared) to some degree also, which fiberglass n foam both need to be protected from.

This is a step that might be worth consideration on a fiberglass and foam built project.....?
