For sale 1997 Ford E 350 Chateau van with a partial U-Joint Offroad 4x4 conversion. When I say partial, It does not have a transfer case or driveshaft. The axle in the front was inspected by a local shop before installing and given a clean bill of health. It has 4.10 gears, the same as what is in the rear end. It has been driven like this for about 40k miles with 0 issues. It can be completed at anytime and have fully functional 4WD.
The van is currently set up with 4 captains chairs, but I also have the 3 passenger bench seat.
The interior is super clean. No rips, tears, or stains. Front and rear a/c, recently charged. I have a Bedrug in the rear of the van with sound deadening on the floor for a quiet ride. Kenwood double din head unit with Bluetooth and backup camera, 6 speakers plus a 10” subwoofer. Mounted right behind the sub, is a an Arkpak power source. It has a Tekonsha Prodigy 3 trailer brake control, and there is a full size spare tire on custom mount in the rear.
The motor is a V10 that is currently at 168k. I’ve put the last 48k miles on it with no issues. The only modifications being a drop in K&N air filter and a Black Widow muffler. Also included is a SCT tuner with 3 custom tunes from 5 Star that I never installed. Maintenance that has been done recently includes new spark plugs, new brakes including new calipers, the rear end was rebuilt with new gears, a/c charged and I’m sure more I’m forgetting. Over the years I’ve experienced the normal issues that these vans are known for, and fixed as needed. The stock brake caliper had plastic pistons, I replaced them with upgraded calipers with steel pistons. Climate control blend doors, power window motors, and the fuel pump have all been replaced.
The exterior is clean and shows very well. It has the stock Chateau package 2 tone paint. It has a custom lights bar with 3 Hella lights. Custom full length tube side steps. It has 285/75/16 BFG AT KO2 tires on factory forged wheels. The wheels, side steps, light bar, and spare tire carrier were all powder coated. There are the beginning signs of the paint failing in the rain gutters. Not an issue right now, but something that will need to be addressed in the future. There are no other issues.
Unfortunately, I have not been using the van much and I can’t justify keeping it any longer. I thought I would have it forever, and maintenances it as such. This van runs and looks better than vans half it’s age. If you see it in person, you won’t be disappointed.
