EDIT: only looking for payment upon install by VO. See my comment below.
I’m selling my build spot, which is #216 (there is a poster in the Vagabond Outdoors Camper Owners group on Facebook with Order 202 currently being installed), for a 3rd Gen Tacoma Short Bed. I am selling the spot, frankly, because I was originally drawn to VO as a small business that I thought would be able to help me if I ever had issues with the product (I am far from an Overlander--just a dude from Miami who moved to Colorado a few years ago and liked the idea of a wedge camper). Now that GFC has presence in Denver, while I understand its an inferior product, as a total non-Overlander, I feel more comfortable with their help close-by.
It is paid in full but I have received no indication that it is actually in construction (and my general sense is, from viewing various posts in this forum, is that things can still be changed). With that said, it does have the following build options currently:
-Slider Cab Window
-Driver Side and Passenger Side Arctic Tern Cargo Doors
-Camper Fan
-L Track Roof Mounted
-Side Insulation
-Black Powdercoating on Roof, Lower, Roof and Shell (so full)
-Lower Level Lighting
-Ceiling Light
-USB and 12v Power Panel
-Prewire for Solar
-Merlin FX36S 165 Watt Solar Panel
-Roof Rack Mounts
-Front Runner
-OVS Nomadic Awning 270
Elke over at Vagabond reached out in March and said my "camper is in the next batch. We will reach out again when the build starts." I have not received an email from them regarding my build starting (hence, I believe things can still be adjusted). Obviously, anyone on this forum knows this could mean anything but, based on others who have received their campers (Facebook group confirms Order 202 has been installed), I do at least believe this claim actually holds some weight in terms of the build being soon. This combined with posts in the main forum on this camper stating they have seen operation in the factory recently makes me comfortable to sell the spot. While I understand others have charged a premium for a quicker build spot, I just want to recoup what I have paid, which is $15,125.96 (based on my second invoice--I would need to confirm my credit card statements). I'd rather someone get the benefit of my sooner build. I will also say this: I have been successful in terms of getting Elke to communicate with me.
