Vagabond Outdoors Nomad, Leentu pop-up (full-size)?

I just did a search and did not find a thread dedicated to these camper tops for the fullsize trucks. Does anyone have any experience with the Vagabond Nomad or offerings by Leetu in the wild yet? I've been following the "GFC vs. Vagabond" camper thread (here) and there is no mention of the Nomad (that I saw). Is this a very recent release?

Looks like a full-size option of the Leentu is also very new.

I'm considering a full-size truck, with a camper top like the Vagabond Nomad, AT Summit, OVRLND, or Leentu. I like the appearance of the AT Summit the best, with the Nomad and Leentu a close 2nd. The OVRLND is very functional with it's straight sides. Go Fast Campers look nice, but no option for windows in the side panels is a non-starter for me.

Probably one of my bigger considerations is actually getting the top to me. I'm in MI, so I could easily pick up the Leentu in Indiana. AT would be the next closest with dealers in PA and NH (only dealers I see listed near me). It appears that for Vagabond or OVRLND, I'm shipping it to the tune of $1500-2000, or going to pick it up in CA or AZ. All seem to be similar in price (~$10,000) by the time I get the options I want:

  • front window
  • rear window
  • side win-doors on both sides
  • vent fan
So just curious if anyone has had eyes/hands on either of these options as the market continues to grow?

Ideally I would want a hard-sided pop-up for my colder climate like this couple did (link) but I don't have that kind of time these days.

Thanks!

I have a hardsided poptopper that will be in production within 6 months. It is in a kit form so shipping will be like shipping a mattress.

I just checked the Vagabond Outdoors website they have a picture mounted on a Toyota up now, I don't know how many have been made,I suspect the number is 1.
I am interested as well,I want to see a few more built, and I hope their production times gets better.

Check out snapoutfitters.com
The tree house looks like a great alternative to the brands you mention. They're made in Pennsylvania.

I love my Snap Treehouse, only 400lbs, easy to camp in and has stood up to lots of off road abuse.
