Vancouver Island, 2007

I have just posted some pictures from a 12 day camping trip on Vancouver Island on my pbase gallery:

This was a leisurely 1000 mile trip. About 200 miles were on potholed logging roads along the outer coast. Weather was nearly ideal. While we had rain the first day, it cleared as soon as we crossed the border, and didn't resume until we returned home.

As I have time I'll add some trip notes.

That looks like a diverse area to explore. Love the waterfalls and coastline photos. I should add that to my 'places-to-visit', list.

Congrats on getting the rain to work with you in that part of the country.

Nice to see pics of Vancouver Island again. Beautiful. I was there for 10 days about 4 years ago and it's definitely on my "return-to" list.

An interesting side note: I was going to visit a female friend on Vancouver Island. The border guys actually called her to confirm that she was expecting me before they let me in the country. Can you imagine that happening here? No way.
