Vario and OBDII

Folks,
I'm trying to understand if one of these will work on my 2002 model year Vario: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Scangauge...3?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item43c8526157

Mine has the Mercedes standard 14 pin circular diagnostic port. Does anyone know?

No it won't work. You must use a Mercedes Star Computer. If I didn't already have one I would buy this one:

Don't know which brands but there are some OBD11 WiFi transmitters available which can be synced with a smart phone for display I think… no direct experience but have read elsewhere...

The question is though - Is the right signalling available in the Vario port to support one of these thingies. For instance, does the port talk ISO 9141?

good question. couldnae tell you the answer though but would like to know myself! Might be worth a punt on one of the cheap bluetooth/wifi units on ebay praps...
