VIDEO LAND ROVER THE BEST SHOTS 3

Hello roverrocks. Do you avoid it because it gets dirty?
I avoid "it" because it tears up trails and waterways badly. Anybody just out looking to go mudding or roaring through streams at high speeds is not valuing/reverencing/respecting the land/trails very much IMO. Tread Lightly and Leave no Trace help ensure that 4x4 trails and land access remain open at least here in The States. Perhaps when you get a little or maybe a lot older you will come to appreciate the great responsibilities we all have when out wheeling and exploring the backcountry in the modern world of constant land closures. Have a nice day.

Good videos!
Some trails are set up with water as requirement to stay the trail. ie coney flats and jenny creek to name a couple.

Well said brother! I don't even drive off pavement because it can damage the fragile top soil which our future generations will need. We all should really stick to asphalt and concrete to ensure that no more areas get closed!

NO, EMPHATICALLY NO!!!: THAT "WE ALL SHOULD REALLY STICK TO ASPHALT AND CONCRETE" BUT YOU CAN FEEL FREE TO ADHERE TO THAT NON-ADVENTURESOME NON-EXPLORATIVE RADICAL PHILOSOPHY. I WILL BE EXPLORING THE BACKCOUNTRY OFFROAD ROUTES!!! USAGE OF EXISTING 4X4/BACKCOUNTRY TRAILS ARE IN NO WAY DAMAGING ANY NEW FRAGILE TOPSOIL AS LONG AS ONE DOES ADHERE TO "TREAD LIGHTLY".

Any trail set up in high rocky based areas such as the two you mentioned and not in lowland deep mud/silt/topsoil areas is fine by me but we should not actively seek out mud and mudbased stream beds in "treading lightly" just as we should NOT be out in wet spring conditions in the deserts. Winter wheeling of snowbound and frozen 4x4 trails is fine and I do it often.

...uh, I was being sarcastic...

I have no problems with the idea of the tread lightly campaign, but I do have a problem with the ultra-preachy proponents of it.

Dinosaurs like you two are going to be the death knell of four wheeling and off-road exploration which are both under tremendous and vicious assault by legions of urbanites and ultragreenies which has already resulted in tremendous backroad/4x4trail closures with more and more drastic/complete closures looming everywhere. Grow up and understand what is going on. There is a reason for what you what you term "ultra-preachy" in regards to "TREAD LIGHTLY" and "LEAVE NO TRACE" at least in the U.S. of A. If you really don't understand or care or give a damn then YOU are working for the land closures of the future and against any reopening of what's already been lost. It ain't rocket science.

Very true in the USA yet the Euro zone plate on the 110 was "E" which is Spain.

Tracks reminded me as those we had in Brasil especially the deep ruts in the middle.

Lots of mud and water coupled with steep trails.

Tread Lightly is a great practice and one we follow as Americans living now in Europe however it is not a global concept.
