So, did the driver of the RRS figure out his traction control settings and make it up the hill? He looked a little befuddled in the video as he randomly played with the buttons on his center console :)

I don't think they actually do anything, they just make you feel like you're having input. The computer overlords still make all the decisions. Silly humans...

Actually, I often find I'm looking at the terrain then looking at the settings and thinking 'none of these really sound like what I'm facing here...'

LOL, I have trained a great many folks on how to really extract the most from Land Rover's TC systems. They really do have a lot of impact, but they do not eliminate the need for intelligent use of the right foot. Throttle modulation, energy management, and sighting the line is still the best and most impactful things you can do, and behind the wheel of a modern Rover, are skills very unique and different from a classic solid axle rig.
