Anyone have any experience with one of these, or know of someone who has?

Thanks

I have one on order. Should have it in the next couple weeks. I'll let you know any pros/cons I find.

Excellent.

I have a canopy and am wondering if the back window will still close. It would be neat to fab something up to close up the tailgate area also.

At $615.00 plus shipping, why not just go for a new rear bumper?

That is true.

The main thing I like about the Tiregate is that the tire is a little more forward that when mounted on a bumper. I was thinking that the less weight hanging over the end of truck the better. If it doesn't make that much difference, than a new bumper would be the way to go.

Some sort of lost...
I think if you pay $600+ for one of those you are a sucker. Anyone who works with metal could build one for a whole lot less, I mean there aren't even any bends. And you could support someone local.

Should have it delivered this week and installed this weekend. I know for a tonneau cover, I was told by the guy at Tiregate that I would need to modify it to still fit.

Bit of a SNAFU at Wilco. Production guys made a Pre-Runner tiregate, not the VT tiregate I ordered. Kinda irked, but they did knock some more off the price. As long as there are not anymore issues I'm still stoked.

It's been like pulling freaking teeth but the VT Tiregate finally shipped. They shipped it "deferred" so I'm not going to get it till early next week. But hey, the damn thing finally shipped! So I'm happy. Will post a write up probably the weekend after I get it.
