Waht did I see?

Coming in from work this afternoon ( hwy 35) in to Pearland Tx, I saw a LR in a pick-up version going the other way. It looked to be early to mid 70's fender and grill kinda like the photos of the cab with the German built camper.I thought it was way too cool to be just a daily driver. Any thoughts?

Not quite that green and doing about 50mph. Same basic shape though.

There are a few of them around here...it's just what it looks like, a pickup bed on the cab of a series I or II...one of the Rover guys can give you more info...I start involuntarily drooling every time I see one...

Do you have to wear a bib Saturday evenings when the Tacoma PBS station plays old episodes of 'Last of Summer Wine'? The picture I posted is a Corgi model of the LR on that series.
