I'm looking to buy a smaller displacement motorcycle for fun and exploration here in Western Colorado. With national forests and BLM land all around, I can't stop dreaming about riding up the Grand Mesa or out into the Book Cliffs on an XT225 or Super Sherpa or TW200.
All I care is whether it's in good mechanical condition. I'm still a rookie when it comes to motorcycles, so the last thing I need is a project bike. My budget is limited, so I'm not looking at the XT250 or similar newer bikes.
Do you have an old, reliable workhorse that gets good gas mileage and plenty of miles left in it? Please let me know. Proximity to Grand Junction, Colorado (about 30 miles from Utah) is helpful, but I'm willing to consider other options!
