Anyways I'm looking for a gen 3 montero 2003 or 2004... Ideally under 150k.
I would be willing to travel to purchase and have a gen 2 montero to trade if interested (I will add cash)

Im not gonna post a budget, once people know how much your willing to spend, room to negotiate gets difficult. Peters rig is probably worth 15K, I can tell you I cant afford that.

As far as travel, Im pretty open...although I probably dont want to travel all the way to the west coast, Ive made that trip a couple of times and its absolutely brutal.

there was an 03 on craiglist in the columbus/dayton ohio area posted in the last week or so... check the thread that has the montero's on craigslist

Thanks... My worry about buying a vehicle in Ohio or my state is extreme rust on the underbody, I think it's why there are almost none fire sale or on the road here in nys

I might be putting my 03 up for sale pending an offer I have another vehicle. It has lived in MI it's whole life though, so rust free is not a qualified descriptor. The nice thing is you will get a set of good 265/75R16 Duratracs w/ warranty certificates from Discount Tire, recent Ironman suspension, and a lengthy list of repairs I have made as well as a list of more repairs that it will need down the road.
