I'm looking for a used Engel or Norcold, or even the old style ARB, MT45 fridge.

Please let me know via PM if you have one for sale.

I'm also open to the 35L versions.

Thanks,
Gavin

Thanks to all that offered.

Found a Norcold 45L on Craigslist for $400 that I picked up this morning.

Well, scratch that. Power supply turned out to be bad, and the 12V doesnt work.

Sooo, I am still looking for one.

Thanks,
Gavin

Hi

my two cents. if your looking for a 12v cooler that will be more efficient and give you years of life, 400 bucks in all likely hood will not cut it. I currently own 3 45-50's. Two arb's, and one engel. Work awesome. I also had tested a 375 dollar used cooler and I wish I had not. So, my opinion is you find a used quality fridge/freezer and pay the additional cost for long-term satisfaction.

Remember: You get what you pay for. Works most the time.

Now, if someone out there is selling one of these quality coolers for cheap, thats another story. Just get Quality up front and save your sanity. lol.

I have a 45L Engel that I brought over from Australia. Tested it about 3 month ago and it still seems to work. Its a 240V AC and 12 Volt DC variety.

I'm not using it. Where do you live?

I'm in AZ, and unless a certain family member in Gig Harbor is heading down this way anytime soon, shipping may kill the deal.

Nikos, as far as quality goes, the Norcold Tek II that I bought is the exact same as the older ARB models, and the Engels...no difference whatsoever. I've never used, or will use a 12V cooler. I've had great reliability out of my old Engels, both in 45 and 60 flavor, and not so great out of a Waeco. That is why I'm looking for another Engel/Norcold variant. When I bought my Engel originally, is was slightly above $600 for it, so to me $400 is a fair deal for a working fridge.

Finally, as it turned out, it wasn't the power supply at all. It was the 12V DC cord that was bad. Plugged in another 12V cord from a friend, and voila!
