Are you dead set on a older truck?
I have an '02 Reg. Cab Taco with the 2.7 liter 4-cylinder 3RZ-FE engine with about 34K miles on it. I think this motor has proven to be just as reliable as the older 22RE motors with much better power. I'm in Seattle and keep toying with selling it -- but maybe more than you want to spend if you're looking for a 22RE. If so, good luck.

Stock, modded, ready to mod.???? I have a great cab/frame/interior/22re-fresh rebuilt engine/wiring vehicle that has all running gear removed. '85 extracab california no rust vehicle. Could add some gear based on what you want. Mild body cosmetic damage. It was my rockcrawler but am building a 4runner now.

Something that runs/drives would be a requirement. Not so much a rock crawler. Mild modifications would be okay (small lift, cosmetic damage okay). Ideally, a 1989 to 1994 Extended Cab 4x4. I would consider the 3.0 engine if well maintained.
