Water tanks in Conqueror Conquest ....air lock

Hi ,

I have a Conqueror Conquest trailer .
It has the 2 x 75 litre ? water tanks in it .
We filled it up the other day thinking that it was full , but it must have had an air-lock in the system somewhere .

Anyone have any idea's where to start looking or how to fix it .

fill tube?

I have heard the fill tube is too long. This prevents the 12v pump being stuck down the tube from being able to suck up water. When I fill mine, I tilt the trailer back and get a lot more water in it, but still can not use the fill tube pump. I just drain it out the back.... it's kind of a pain that way.... I hope someone posts up a better fix!

Try opening the drain in the rear (if they are in the rear on yours- depends on age of unit ) and hooking a siphon. Crack the filler cap first. You may have a piece of debris blocking the spigot.

I used to tip my Compact and nose-up as high as I could go; never had an issue filling.

Ditto others I have to tilt mine up

Someday going to drop my tanks and put some proper fittings on it and a clean out inspection fitting on the top try to setup something proper
