Waterproofing ARB Bumper Turn Signal Lights

I wrote a post on my blog recently about waterproofing the stock turn signal lights found on some ARB bumpers. They always rust out after the first water crossing. I looked for a way to waterproof them while maintaining easy bulb replacement. It was like trying to find the Northwest Passage. I'm not sure it exists. I ordered new lights (see post for link) and was able to waterproof them with silicone sealant but the sealant has to be redone when you change the bulb. Still, I think the bulb will last longer in a dry housing than a rusted one.

Has anyone else tackled this problem? What was your solution? Here's mine:

Equally cool solutions to a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place, IMHO.

x3, those lights are hands-down the worst part of the ARB bumpers. The connectors that come on them are an absolute joke. You'd think for something that's designed to be exposed to water, mud, etc, they'd use a connector that's at least somewhat waterproof. I mean seriously, how much more expensive would that be in the quantities they're buying them in? I'd guess less than $10 per bumper. I'd happily pay an extra $10 to get a quality light and connector.
