Well, I have been eyeballing the Colorado z71 duramax. I feel that the increase in range, cargo and towing capacity etc will be worth the small decrease in off road performance. I have a build list going on to the rig....I am planning to order the rig by the end of july for an October delivery.
Here is a build list so far. She should be a good capable rig once finished.
Icon stage 5 suspension package
airbags for trailer towing,
aluminum front skid plate, and others to protect the undercarriage.
Tie rod sleeves to beef up the tie rods for off road
XMC XD 17" XD 129 satin black
275/70/17 BFG AT KO2
Bushwacker Pocket flares
Some sort of duramax tuning etc
Rocky road supersliders
Leer 100xl cap with roof rack, rails, interior storage boxes, carpeted interior, bed rug and cargo slider.
Baja designs Onyx 6 dual control 30" LED bar with 2 driving banks and one amber fog bank of leds.
TRS 4300k HID low and high beams
TRS led fogs
Replacement LED tail lights (Black)
Full LED lighting inside the truck/cap/etc
Adding scene lighting to the cap (flush mount for camping)
Fridge in the rear of the truck
Black hood section and tailgate section
CB install and windows phone install.
4g connectivity and onstar for when we are out of service.
I am sure there is more but most of what we are doing is here.
Its my first rig since 2011, so I am excited. Having nav built in again, with upgraded stereo and smooth and quiet ride will be a huge bonus for us. As will the 8/100km fuel milage....more than 1/2 of what my JK currently gets!
