What do you guys think??

If it goes that low, now could it be a bad deal? The 1995 and newer Range Rovers have the Disco style dash and interior, this is much nicer than the 1994-1970 style.

Everything is easy fixes, if it's rust free it's a good deal. Of course you are not the only one looking at it, the price WILL go up, 95's get much higher prices than other RRCs.

Id be all over that if it were an LWB.

The seller says that it was only made 1/2 a year. Thats actually wrong. The 95 RRC was made late 94-early 96.

I do believe it's a salvage title (of course)- but hey- if it runs! I owned a salvaged Nissan truck for years that never had any probs. I am seriously considering this. I just need to know if it runs or not. It says so on the site, but I am always skeptical.

I own a white 1995 SWB and its a great truck.

the SRS lights all pop on at around 155000 miles

the little rust stain down the right rear tailgate says its just starting to rust back there but can be dealt with.

the recline on the seats seams to be the first terminal in the electric seat control to go bad, I have seen many that thats the only part of the seat controler to fail.

the braking systems are very easy to keep up as they use a flash code diagnostic system that actually works.

allthough the 95 disco and 3.9 RRC are rated the same for power the RRC are night and day faster and also get better mileage.

the only thing I consider a short comming is the BW transfercase but these days thats a easy swap to a LT230. With 160,000 there will be some chain slap when backing up I would guess.

these are great trucks and just as people feel the 99 D1 and the 2004DII are the pinnacle I feel the 1995 RRC is the pinnacle of the classics.

"WD40 a vise grips and some duct tape any man worth his salt can do half the household chores with just those three things"

that was a really cool movie!!

I feel the 1995 RRC is the pinnacle of the classics

still like the '94s better, yet, no doubt the HVAC in the '95 is much improved over the '94.

I have one of these "soft dash" models, though I specifically went shopping for a Vogue rather than a Vogue SE in order to avoid the leather, electrically operated seats (prone to ECU problems), air suspension (an expensive nightmare) and the ubiquitous leaking sunroof.

Mine has a 300Tdi engine, R380 and Borg Warner transmission (viscous coupling and chain drive, far superior to the LT230) and coil springs. It's a lovely vehicle, though the leg room is disappointing in both rows. It's still comfortable, swift, easy to drive and immensely stylish, even though its lines hardly changed since the 1967 Velar prototypes were built.

If its chassis and body are good, then go for it. But be wary of all those electrical faults. You could just disconnect the SRS units and pull the fuse, removing the light bulb from the dash as a cheap remedy - the hard dash RRs never had SRS anyway, and the Discovery only had it on the drivers side, not both like these soft dash RRs, so they can't be that essential.

Have a good look at the boot floor, under the sound proofing, the foot wells, sills, front inner wings/wheel arches, and if the owner will permit you, remove the indicator/sidelight units (just two screws each) to check the condition of the steel behind them - those are the usual trouble areas.
