What sort of offer?

I came across a 1985 FJ60, 172K on the odometer, Arizona rust free, needs a new passenger side fender (It's got a crease, but functions) the ignition switch is all busted up, one of the tail lights is broken, bald tires, and the block has a window in it.

The last registration expired October, 06. The owner is the second owner with full documentation.

What sort of offer would be fair? I don't really need another Cruiser, but you can't have too many....

Thanks,
Dave

I was going to say $1100. But I think I'm in the same range as the others. I paid $1200 for a rust free one with a blown head gasket. Oh I forgot that was with delivery too.

When you say " the engine has a window" I assume you are saying hole in the block, and with that being said, the vehicle only worth a salvage value... I would not put the amount of money required to get this vehicle back on the road. $300.00 max, and part it out!!!

A rust free 60 body is worth way more than $300. If you can get it for that you stole it. Even at $1000 you could part it out and make 2-3k. Steering boxes bring a good chunk of change, heck even the 3 groove pulleys are $150 used at cruiserparts.net and they came off east coast trucks, PS pumps, the smog pump, the axles, the distributor and ignitor for a retro fit on an earlier 40, misc. switches, the bumpers if straight and rust free, the lift gate and tailgate would bring $4-500 for the pair if in good shape. But really it doesn't sound like a parts rig, it sounds like a fixer upper. Diesel transplant, V8, etc...
