What Type of Military Trailer Is This & What Is It Worth In This Condition?

Just this weekend I saw this military trailer behind a friend of mine's shop. Might be a good start for a trailer build.

I know nothing about military trailer's therefore my question:

What Type of Military Trailer Is This & What Is It Worth In This Condition To Purchase?

It's a m-416, probably mid 60's. Looks like someone has added a tailgate in the last 50 years and changed the pintle out. Looks to be in fairs shape, but the rust color could be hiding things. I'd want it between 500-1000, but the prices on these things are all over the place.

Yes, M416 with a whole lot of Bubba going on. Could be a solid foundation if solid and can be obtained for a decent price. Maybe the camper shell has saved the bed.

Check the condition of the bed near the front and in the corners...probably rusted pretty bad there under all of that paint. If that area is ok, other than a lot of bolt holes it may be a good investment. That tailgate doesn't look reinforced and is probably not very good addition from the original solid tub. Like has been said before if you can dig under the paint in a few areas and if it appears to be surface rust it might be worth 800-1000. If its rust city (although the frames are usually in great shape), that could mean a lot of work to the bed and it could get costly if you are not doing the work yourself.
