Yea the motor did it for me. I still want my grill don't go screwing it up :). He claims a bent frame but seeing how good the vehicle looks that's suspicious.

It even has a manual transmission, which to my knowledge is fairly rare in a 4Runner of that vintage, and only 90K on the clock!

You would think guys would be punching each other out to get the whole vehicle. Seems a shame to part it out.

I dunno seems a bit weird.

Fishy, really Fishy. Ebay says to contact local law enforcement.

Sure as heck sounds like it. That truck in the condition it is in with the options it has is worth some money. Poor thief would have better off with a run of the mill Runner that didn't have a limited production run.

I've asked for the VIN# off the engine. I explained I need it for a buggy project and need to know the smog history. We'll see if he replies or avoids the question....

Definitely something fishy there.

I bet it's got a salvage title at best (cant register it), worse would be a hefy lein or judgement against it (cant register it, cant sell it in whole), worst still would be stolen (most likely insurance fraud).

Here's their response after I had asked for the VIN # for the history on the engine (i.e. smog, servicing, etc...):

it was smoged on oct 2009 and if you know about engines you can tell al that just by looking at it this engine is in absalutly perfict condition with not even a oil drip serviced every 3k miles max runs as new
