According to that all-par link, the waggys weighed 3758 when they were introduced in 63, but by 1975, R&T tested one at 4760. And the all-par chart listed the 1990 at 4500.

Don't get me wrong, the old full sizes were awesome, but they were not lightweights...
So they added over a 1000 pounds of stuff huh. How do you explain my 81 weighing 3700 pounds?
I could be wrong but I remember being how surprised I was when they gave me the piece of paper stating it was only 3700 pounds. Granted it was a basic 6 cyl and 4 speed. Unfortunately I sold the cherokee. Later on I purchased a scout. Once again I took that to the scale and weighed it. With the top off it weighed 3900ish pounds. I do miss the cherokee. I taught myself how to drive a stick in it. Driving all over the hills and mountains around my house.
