several posts mention needing a source of adjustable awning poles. after buying a pole saw for some pruning "up high", i realize how much more stout these can be than my original suggestion of telescoping painters poles.
the brand i got was Silky, but there's a whole industry devoted to guys who don't mind stiff necks and sore shoulders:
SC-EXP23 (wood-avenue.com)
12' REPLACEMENT POLE for TP 6830 /50/70 Tree Pruner | Corona Tools (coronatoolsusa.com)
HAYAUCHI 390 12-Feet | Silky Saws
