whine in my speakers :(

Electrical help needed.

I have a high pitched wine through the speakers when the van is running and I turn on the stereo.
I have a house battery that the Stereo system is run off of. When the van isn’t running the stereo sounds great with no whine. However as soon as the ignition fires and the stereo is on the speakers make the load noise.
If there is no whine when the system is on but the van engine is off can I assume that it is a bad vehicle ground creating the noise?

I have re traced the entire house battery side and everything is clean, wired and grounded as it should be. Is the next step to start going through every ground on the van?
Grrrrr

The case of the stereo should be grounded as well. This is usually done through the FM antenna.

When my antenna worked it's way loose from the back of the stereo on some Mexican washboard I got the similar infuriating hum.
