Well its still speed goat season here in Montana, Here I am sitting in some really tall CRP waiting for a herd of about 75 or so speed goats to come on up and get some grocieries for the evening, same spot as they have for the past few days, and then this whitetail comes' along and starts to circle me like a yote would, well this went on for close to two hours and got lots of pics and then come about 20 more, all curious as to whats hiding in the grass and not trying to eat them. (at least untill sunday! haha)....they got within about 20 yards before the camera batteries started to die the camera shut down and made that noise that digitals do...thats what spooked them off, then my speed goats went hi tailing it outta there. well tommorrow is another day to hunt....

Dude, where's the trees. It just ain't natural to see a fuzzy head outside of a stand of trees. If you can't blame a tree for gettin in your lline of fire what excuse do you use when you blow a shot?

Whitetails seem to know when hunting season starts or even where the invisible line of the National Park border is. Smart creatures - must add to their flavor.

You and your wide open spaces, you should come out to PA for doe season, bullets flying every direction, deer running in circles.:) I'm happy to get a deer or just survive. Once my brother, brother in law, 2 nephews and I each shot a doe with in one minute, now that was fun:) Looks like fun out there too, good luck!

I like "speed goat" better than anti-lope, seems to me they lope just fine...

...or are they pro-lopes?

Had a nice buck speed goat parallel me for about 800 yards at 40 MPH on a local dirt road two weeks ago. Absolutely effortless.

The trees and big mountains are about 20 min to the west of here, we live right at the base of the front range, on the rocky mountain front. (Minus what the idiots at the forest service/blm havent burnt up this past year)

Speedy goats are my favorite to chase. Esp with a flint lock front loader. I could have filled all my tags with the 270 by now but this is way more fun.
