I'm in the process of selling off my first gen Tacoma. I'm going to use some of the funds to build up my new(er) second gen. On the first gen, I installed OME 880 springs with light duty Darkars. In theory, I should have gotten about 1.75" of lift from this but wound up with more like 2.5"-3" (V6, access cab, no armor) and approximately a factory level of rake. Hey, works for me!
Now for the second gen, I'm planning on adding skids and maaaaaaaybe sliders. Plus, I'd like to have a bed rack (over my Softopper). No big bumpers or winches or anything. This one's also a V6 access cab and I'd like to get about 2.5" of lift like before.
It seems like 885's should get me where I want to go, but after experience with the 880's I was hoping one of you here could confirm for me how much lift you got with the 885's. Anyone running the medium leaf packs, how much lift and how much rake did you get? (With the extra weight of the rack I'm planning on having built, I figure it's a good idea to get the mediums, but I'll be running with the bed empty for a while and don't want to end looking like a wedge).
Anyway, anyone got any numbers for me to confirm what I'm reading online?
