Will 2001 Montero Sport backset fit in '97 Montero ?

Sup yall. Long time listener......first time caller. Or something like that.

I have the option to buy a '97 Montero but need a rear seat that can accommodate rear facing 'infant' seat. In order for that to happen I need the infant seat 'latches' that were not mandated on cars till '01

I found a 2001 Montero Sport rear seat on ebay and just need to know if it'll fit in the '97 Montero.

I think I replied on Facebook but latch wasn't mandatory in every vehicle until 2002 iirc.
