I have a 3/4 truck with a Snugop cap that has a windoor. I have already replaced one of the locks on the windoor early on its life under warranty now the second one has frozen up. Snugtop has suggested I contact a dealer to mail order a replacement.
Symptoms. The key spins the lock but the handle won't turn. It feels slightly different when unlocked but very similar, like maybe it has the potential to spin open but does not while when locked the force of opening comes up against a solid stop. I would rather not continue to replace a faulty product but would rather learn to fix it. I removed the lock and sprayed a silicone lube in it, but no luck. Any suggestions for repairing this?
Attached is a photo of the offending lock/handle.
