A window regulator isn´t an electrical part, the motor attached to it is. A manual window is still going to have a regulator, which is what failed. He´s just asking you to think about what failed here.

I understand that. The manual regulators probably aren't any stronger than the power ones, but I think the point about the manual upgrade is that if you're going to replace a power one, why not consider just going to manual ones at the same time? Then you have just preempted a whole bunch of other potential problems. The power windows are problematic on Discos, as is the whole electrical system.

It seems as though the electric motor is the weak spot in the gear.
If I can replace that part with one less likely to fail, all the better.

When you referer to "manual regulators" do you mean the windy handles used to open/close the windows?
Not just the handle, but the mechanism it's attached to inside the door.

Right now probably just two. Unfortunately since they now charge for a second bag, she can't bring back much unless there's enough to warrant the second bag fee.
Mail order isn't that bad.
I don't see any indication in the parts manual would leave me to believe the door assemblies are different.
