Below is a collection of videos I have done over the years to help prepare you and your vehicle for winter. Hope it helps, I realize its a lot of videos to watch, and I dont know everything so criticism is always welcome especially with the knowledge of the folks on this forum but I think its pretty complete. The only addendum I have is for tires, I recently have switched to a true studded winter tire due to a change in my winter driving style and environment.

Winter vehicle prep part 1 - mostly mods to your vehicle for colder temps

Winter Vehicle Prep Part 2- things to carry during winter

Stuck in Alaska!

These are a game changer - from working on your car, to safely needing to heat a small space - accept no substitute. In really cold temps anything that renders your motor inoperable (gas outage, animal strike, alternator failure, etc) having a very simple, dependable means of producing lasting heat is critical.

Definitely great to have, I had one in the Mountain bag video, I recently switched to the buddy heater with the ceramic element , it seems to function with less odor and more efficient.Has knock over sensor and Low O2 sensor.

One thing I learned my first weekend when moving to Wyoming is that any service place in the southwest will fill your windshield washer reservoir with water. Which doesn't work that well below oh, say, 32 degrees.

If you plan on taking a trip somewhere colder and your home location doesn't freeze that often, top off with some cold weather windshield washer fluid so that you can have a clean windscreen when you really need it.
