UPDATE: Feb 27, 2011 For one month the following code will give all expo members $100 off the $399 price tag.

Coupon code “expedport”

Ok, this is an idea that I am surprised has not hit the market before. Extremely elegant and extremely customizable. Yes, it is not cheap, but who cares when it is this cool. Each of the buttons in on the main page are clickable to give more information. No I am not affiliated with this company, but I will soon be a customer. Of course if this is a repost, I apologize.

I just got a set of switches from them in the mail today, look to be very nicely made and come with a great install manual. Going in my Tundra soon. Compressor, rear lights, aux. power, winch in/out, and a couple others.
Sale just ended, pirate4x4 has a discount code.

I've seen similar things, but on a much larger scale, used in $300k+ motorhomes, bus conversions, etc.

Due to the complexity of building the coaches, it's much easier to run "signal wires" through the walls than to run actual power leads from the electrical dist. center, to a switch bank, then out to all the appliances.

With this type of set-up, they can distribute switched power from the power panel (distribution center) up a wall in a main trunk of power wires, then out to the loads.... kind of like how the human spine carries the main nerve center, then all the nerves branch off as needed.

After contacting Wired HDH with some general questions and mentioning I had started a thread on this forum, they created a discount for all expo members for the next month. Just use coupon code “expedport” to receive $100 off the $399 price. I have updated the first post to consolidate all the info.

Cool product. About the only thing I really don't care for is the panel is held with double sided tape. For me, anything that will be inside the cabin (think windows up on a 110*+ day) and bounced around offroad, never seems to hold, especially if mounted to a plastic panel. Be nice if they offered a panel that could be screwed into a mount or something.
