Wiring CB to fuse box/cigarette lighter

I just wired mine directly to the battery.

Yeah I've been doing some reading and I think I am going to do that as well.

CB's are cheap, you need the cleanest power and best tuned antenna set-up you can do get. Not the most expensive , mind you.

I'm using a standard 12v cig plug for mine. Makes for an easy upgrade in the future or if the rigs electricals take a poop I can plug it into my Xantrex.

I tapped into the lighter's + wire. No problems so far.

I ran mine temporarily off a cigarette lighter adapter, and it worked fine. I do plan to wire it through the fuse panel eventually, just needed a quick fix to get going.

I have tapped the lighter and the fuse box both. In one of my old vehicles, I even had a spare slot, so I wired it and had a fused connection on the switch.
