so i am just finishing up my rear bumper swing out. Now i need to get the tools to go with it so i can build the mounts. But while at the store i could not deside if wood or fiberglass would be better. I live in a verry wet climate I dont plan on using them much. However I do want them usefull when I do. Tools in question would be Axe,Shovle, pick.

Fiberglass. No rot, no aging. When we were landscaping our yard we broke a couple of wood handled shovels, but the FG ones are holding up many years later. Thankfully they don't get used as much any more.

I have a Max axe tool, 7 in one with a fiberglass handle. It is 15 plus years old and I have literally beaten the snot out of it. No problems. The handle on mine has a slight texture and is also not as slick as wood.

If your buying new, get the fiberglass. I like a good piece of hickory, but for longevity I would go fiberglass:)
