Woody's Fenders Hand crafted and super cool. www.woodysfenders.com
Fenders have always been pretty ho-um additions to bicycles. Only installed to keep the spray off your backside, no one ever wanted to install fenders until now. Woody's Fenders are produce by the skilled hands of Cody Davis in Bend, Oregon. A furniture builder by trade, Cody started building fenders at the suggestion of a local bike shop owner. His extremely popular fenders have been shipped to happy, and dry, cyclists around the world. Through his connections in the woodworking industry, Cody is able to source exotic woods reclaimed from various job projects. These "scraps" become custom creations that transform an ordinary bike into a rolling work of art.
I ordered a set of zebra wood custom fenders for the ExPo Salsa Fargo build project and couldn't be happier. Cody responded quickly to my order and had fenders on my doorstep in no time at all. In an era of lackluster customer service standards, I was pleased with my purchase even before I opened the box. What I found in that box blew me away. The craftsmanship is astounding, and I can tell these fenders will out perform, and outlast, any plastic fender.

The zebra wood fenders looked great on the Fargo project bike:

The combinations of woods and patterns is seemingly endless.
Cody at work at the drum sander, and his two shop buds:

I'd say Woody's Fenders are the coolest bike products I've come across in a very long time. One concern I had prior to placing my order was durability. After handling the fenders for just a few minutes, those concerns quickly abated. These are sturdy fenders, no doubt. The stainless steel struts and brass hardware inspire confidence that these fenders will survive anything we throw at them. They're also far lighter than I would have expected.
I couldn't be more impressed.
