WTB: Stealth camper van

Been looking at getting into a stealth camper van. Something along the lines of a Chevy Express or Ford econoline cargo van or equivalent thats been converted to a DIY camper van . I've looked at the sprinters but seems like they are very mechanically unreliable. Anyone know of ones to look at or other sites that offer what I'm looking for. Looking at less than $20k Thanks

Saw this on a local Craigslist. Needs work (it is a Sprinter...), but looks like a quality conversion.

(It's an older listing, probably going to be gone soon....sorry.)

We are looking for a stealth camper van too, what makes you say the sprinters are unreliable? We have been thinking of going that route but hadn't heard of them having issues- maybe we should reconsider and get something else? Any info you could share would be great, and good luck with your hunt!

Sorry I missed your message. Been awhile since I've been on. I've had a couple customers that are contractors that use them and just had several mechanical issues with them and body paint issues. I believe the mechanical issues were related to the turbo system and injectors. The body paint was just a lot of premature rust along the window seals and sliding side door. Granted these are only a few out of the thousands they sold. I'm sure they arent all bad.
