good day,
i want to purchase a van for road tripping and camping.
ideally a model '96 or younger (as i just like to have my obd II readings in front of me).
on top of my list would be a ford E150 passenger van for the reason that i'd like to stay as "light" as possible plus i don't want to spent any time or money to make the interior (wall paneling etc.) cozy. i would not need the seats in the back (driver and co-pilot seat will do).
i'd also take a cargo version that is already somewhat cozy in the back.
a hi top conversion van, a chevy express or a swb sprinter van would be an option as well.
the van does not have to be pretty but mechanically sound would be desired.
my absolute upper limit would be $7000.
optionally i could trade in a 2006 jetta TDI (121xxx miles, black, manual, new timing belt/water pump, new turbo, new tires).
thanks a lot,
andreas
