WTB - Vehicle in Argentina (Chile or Uruguay would work too)

Hey folks,

I'm going to be spending a year in Buenos Aires because my better half's job is taking us there. We're thinking of driving back to Portland Oregon with the kids as one way of getting back up north in late 2014. So we're looking for a rig if anybody is wanting to sell one in Argentina (or near like in Chile or Uruguay, southern brazil, etc..) which we could pick up and drive north. Argentina doesn't let you sell cars to Argentinians but does to foreigners in the country.

Figured i'd leave this note here in case somebody comes searching for how to off load their truck at the end of their trip.

One wonders how well such arrangements can be made to be able to get something back to the USA and then resell? We might be interested in a re-purchase for the right rig.

Christian's suggestion is spot on. I've exchanged multiple communications with Linda and Aron. Super nice people, no troubles with their VW to speak of. I'd buy it myself if I could get away.
